Amtrak’s Boston-NYC service restored after bomb threat near station

(right on time, after the scary stuff they got from bin Laden computer saying that the target is going to be trains! . .. hide under your bed! . . . we seem to be going straight into the next level of hell, with little resistance . . . )

NEW LONDON, Conn. — Amtrak restored its full Boston-to-New York train service Tuesday following a bomb threat near the New London station in Connecticut.

The trains had earlier been delayed for more than two hours because of a suspicious package found at the Greyhound bus station in New London, directly next to the train station, The Day newspaper reported.

State police bomb squads swarmed the area, along with local officers.
